With only 1% of all orders, the 2022 R35 GT-R NISMO is a rare model indeed. The Special Edition includes the high-precision engine, so even though the 600ps output is the same, the smooth feel of the GT-R NISMO can only really be felt at higher RPM. In addition to front & rear bumpers, bonnet hood, trunk, and rear wing, the roof panel and front fender (with air outlet) have been produced in carbon fiber to reduce weight by 13kgs. Carbon brake rotors (front diameter increased from 390mm to 410mm, rear diameter increased from 380mm to 390mm) combine with aluminum wheels designed to reduce weight a further 16kgs for a lower unsprung weight that significantly improves road surface tracing. With improvements such as revised exhaust side blades on the turbocharger, the 2020 model is considered to be the most significant elevation in performance. In 2013, a clear difference was established between the standard model and the high-performance NISMO model. Through continuous improvement, the GT-R has become Japan's flagship multi-faceted supercar with speed and sophistication to stand alongside the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3.
