4075S Solid Poplar Plain Box Newel posts are designed to work as a starting, landing or intermediate newel and pairs well with the 4091, 4092 and 4375 box newel posts. Newel is 3-1/2 inch x 58 inch. Poplar is the best choice for a paint grade newel with its tight grain and economical cost. It can also be stained dark to match walnut, mahogany and Brazilian cherry hardwoods. The 4075S Solid Plain Box Newels are solid core, not hollow. This is an unfinished product, sanded and ready for stain.
